accessibility
Foam is centred in the community and we do everything we can to make the museum more accessible to as many people as possible. Photography is created by everyone, for everyone regardless of origin, age or disability.
wheelchairs & mobility aids
The museum offers an elevator, a handicapped-accessible bathroom, and a loading zone where visitors can be dropped off.
Unfortunately, our monumental building is not fully accessible to wheelchairs as not all museum rooms are accessible via elevator. Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the museum with a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair. Before your visit, be sure to contact us so we can discuss the possibilities together.
free admission for accompanying caregivers
Visitors who are unable to navigate their way through the museum independently are permitted to bring a companion with them for free.
folding stools
Folding stools for use in the museum are available at the front desk. If you wish to borrow one please ask one of our members of staff at reception.
guide dogs
Pets are not allowed in the museum, with the exception of leashed, registered guide dogs.
Dutch sign language tour
For the deaf and hearing impaired, Foam organises a free tour in Dutch Sign Language on the first Thursday of each month.
custom tours
At Foam, it is possible to adjust one of our regular programmes to your needs. We offer many options for special guidance, more time, or other requests. The possibilities of a customised tour can be discussed with the Education department:
