May Holiday: Children’s Workshop Jonathas de Andrade

Do you love photography and art? Are you curious to learn more about what photography entails? Sign up for the children’s workshop during the May holidays at Foam.

The photography workshop is suitable for children between the ages of 8 and 12. The workshop will start with a participatory tour through the exhibition Next Level: Jonathas de Andrade - Staging Resistance.

About the workshop

In the exhibition, Jonathas de Andrade collaborated with a community of deaf and hard of hearing people in rural Brazil. Inspired by the photographs in the exhibition and the information gained during the tour, you will dive into the role of a visual artist.

We invite you to participate in a day of play and storytelling. Photograph a self-invented gesture and image through body language inspired by the exhibition.

During the workshop, you have the opportunity to work independently and receive tips from the museum teacher on how to improve your photos. At the end of the workshop, everyone will present their best photograph on a large screen and will go home with a printed version.
